Meet Our Staff

I am a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University where I studied Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations. I joined the LeafSpring School family in September of 2002 as the Lead Teacher in Yellow Room. I have had the privilege of holding several positions with LeafSpring School, including: Lead Teacher, Preschool Curriculum Specialist, Preschool Assistant Director, Site Assistant Director, Village Assistant Director, Village Director and now Campus Director. My husband (Eugene) and I have one child, Addison.

Outside of LeafSpring school, I am involved in many community organizations and ministries at my church and recently discovered a passion for youth mental health. I have served on a community health action committee, the Advisory Council for Equity in Education and the PTSA in Goochland County. I am extremely devoted to my family. I enjoy singing, crafts and spending time with family and friends.

I acquired my Bachelor’s Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) where I studied Psychology and Gender Women’s Studies. After I graduated and landed my first job as an infant teacher, I realized my passion and purpose within Early Childhood Education. For seven years I have had the privilege of holding several positions including Infant Teacher, Preschool Teacher, and Team Lead. During this time, I obtained my Master’s Degree from Walden University in Early Childhood Education with a specialization in Administration, Leadership and Management.

Being a Marine Corps military child, I have lived all over the world but have always thought of Richmond as my home. VCU is where I met my husband Javonte, and we welcomed our beautiful daughter Blake in Summer 2022. In my free time, I love exploring new places and trying unique foods with my family. I am obsessed with musicals and can recite Hamilton or Hairspray as if I’m a member of the cast. I love puzzles, crafts, and all things organization.

I joined the LeafSpring family in May 2014. I worked while attending college at Virginia Commonwealth University and graduated from VCU in December 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Early and Elementary Education. I have worked multiple positions here at LeafSpring School including Substitute Teacher, Assistant Teacher/Teacher, Lead Teacher, as well as a Mentor. I left LeafSpring in July 2020 to focus on family and rejoined the team in February 2022 as Assistant Director of the Village and currently serve as the Village Program Director.

I love being able to nurture children and see how they can learn and grow through their childhood. I live in Goochland, VA with my significant other, Justin and our two sons, Tyton and Tegan, and our dog Stormy. In my free time, I love spending time with family and friends, crafting, tumbler making, and doing puzzles!

Anne joined the LeafSpring family in October of 2015. Since starting here, she has been a Teacher, a Lead Teacher, an Event Planner, and the Camp Co-coordinator. She graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. She loves watching children explore and learning about the world around them.

Before moving to Richmond, she lived in Raleigh, NC, and in Fairfax, VA. In her free time, she likes to travel with her husband, Doug, play board games and trivia games, and sing.
